Beholder wins two Telly Awards and
a Cinematography Award for Hideaways
HORSHAM,
PA (May 3, 2007)
– Beholder Productions was recently recognized by being awarded for the travel program, Hideaways. A silver Telly Award was won for the Cancun episode which aired on The Water Channel and a bronze Telly Award was won for the online television program which was featured at www.FindYourHideaway.com. The Videography Award for Cinematography was also won by Beholder for the beautiful scenes captured in Hideaways.
Hideaways provides viewers with a variety of cultural experiences, adventures, and “off the beaten track” activities from some of the world’s most beautiful travel destinations. Filmed on location, episodes include visits to the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Florida, and Mexico.
The show was created and produced by Beholder Productions, a suburban Philadelphia television and corporate production company as the antidote to flat, two-dimensional travel brochures. “We found that there is a real need for people to experience a travel destination before they make a reservation,” states Emilia Andrews, Hideaways Creator & Co-Executive Producer and COO / Co-founder of Beholder Productions. “By creating a ‘video portfolio’ of some of the world’s leading travel destinations, consumers are able to make informed decisions about where they want to go and the activities they want to participate in before a single dollar is spent. By ‘airing’ the show online, viewers are able to watch as their schedule permits.”
The show has gained such popularity that you can see it while flying! Hideaways was picked up for in-flight programming by USA 3000.
About the Telly: From large international firms to local production companies and ad agencies, the Telly is recognized by all media industry leaders. This statuette is designed by the same creators of the Oscar and Emmy, which symbolizes creative excellence. #####
