ANDREWS HONORED TO JOIN LEADING WOMEN IN MEDIA AT
PHILADELPHIA BLACK FILM AND MEDIA CONFERENCE

– The Black Film & Media Conference was held on May 4-7th, 2006 at the PA Convention Center in downtown Philadelphia. Emilia Andrews was honored to join the following panel guests for the full day "Women in Media" Panel Discussion.
Panelists included: Emilia Andrews, Vice President of Beholder Productions, Inc., Brynne Clarke, Jill Clarke, both Producers with PBS, Hisani DuBose, film writer, producer and director, the famed Dr. Loretta Long, who was best known as “Susan” on Sesame Street, Deborah McDuffie, music composer and producer, well known for the “Like to teach the world to sing” Coca- Cola Campaign, and Daphne Reid, executive at New Millennium Studios in Virginia and actor (Aunt Viv from “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air”).
The Moderator for the day was the beautiful and talented Toni Crawford Major. Discussions included the following topics: We’ll Find Our Way or Make One; Through the Fire, and the Power of Media in our hands. Panelists opened up the discussion to answer the audience questions for well over 2 hours.
The event was successful with much needed camaraderie and networking. We look forward to 2007!
