BEHOLDER PRODUCTIONS HELPS
LOCAL HOSPITAL SYSTEM
ACHIEVE NATIONAL STATUS
JENKINTOWN,
PA (October 18, 2005)
– A video produced by suburban
Philadelphia’s Beholder Productions
helped Main Line Health Hospitals
achieve “Magnet” status by the
American Nurses Credentialing
Center (ANCC), the nation’s highest
award for recognizing excellence
in nursing care.
The eight-minute
video, entitled “Magnet Moments,”
served as a training aid to prepare
the 2,000-plus nurses at the hospital
system’s three sites for the rigors
of the two-year long Magnet evaluation
process. Beholder Productions
provided all of the production
services to complete the video,
including camera work, direction,
editing, post-production and VHS
duplication.
Martha Lyman, RN,
MPH, Magnet project manager for
Main Line Health Hospitals stated,
“ I truly believe that the quality
of the video had a lot to do with
how it (and the entire Magnet
preparation) was viewed by the
staff – it ‘raised the bar’ for
us. It gave the staff the confidence
to realize that we are deserving
of Magnet recognition.” Of some
6,000 hospitals in the country,
only 169 have been granted Magnet
status.
Emilia
Andrews, Vice President and co-owner
of Beholder Productions found
working
on the Main Line Health Hospitals’
project to be doubly rewarding.
“Before joining my
husband Craig at Beholder Productions,
I worked in a pediatric sub-acute
facility. This
project enabled me to combine
my health care background with
my video production
experience. Seeing Main Line Health
Hospitals achieve Magnet status
was just icing on
the cake.”
